This patient needed to brighten her smile in order to complement her complexion and her eyes. Her existing upper crowns were too gray, dark, and out of proportion with each other and with her lower teeth. In addition, the top portion of her lower teeth was broken off.

Treatment was accomplished in two weeks and included the following: the upper four crowns were replaced and properly proportioned. To match the brighter shade that the patient wanted, the remaining six upper teeth were resurfaced. (When teeth are resurfaced, most of the natural tooth structure is preserved.) And six lower teeth were also resurfaced in porcelain to match the shape, color, and surface structure of the upper teeth.
